A PDF Digital version of this much-loved leadership book, specially created for the New Zealand Education profession, is now in its 5th year of publication.
This book builds on the framework of our acclaimed New Zealand Early Childhood curriculum – Te Whāriki.
This leadership resource utilises the principles and strands of TeWhāriki and asks leaders to shift their focus to view the teachers in their teaching team as their primary learners. At the centre of this thinking lies a core principle: no matter the stage of life we find ourselves in, we are all holistic beings with the same basic biological need to have our wellbeing promoted. We all have an innate need to belong and to work in an environment where it is safe to contribute and where our contributions are valued. We all desire mutual respect in our communications, so we can learn, explore new concepts and share these ideas with others in our setting.
Mā te whiritahi, ka whakatutuki ai ngā pūmanawa ā tāngata – Together weaving the realisation of potential
“Your book is amazing, and I love sharing it with my team” – Yve Groot, Centre Owner
