The Story Behind The Book…

The inspiration for this book began with a blog post in 2019, exploring how early childhood education leaders could use the principles and strands of Te Whāriki as a framework for leadership. The post resonated widely, sparking conversations across the sector and planting the seed for what would become this book. In March 2020, during the New Zealand lockdowns, the first edition was published and quickly became a much-loved resource among early childhood leaders. Weaving Your Leadership Whāriki has been out of print for some time, but due to popular demand, it is now back in stock.
